Description:The holder of the position is a field-based professional with clinical and therapeutic experience/expertise in oncology responsible for developing and implementing medical and scientific initiatives that support currently marketed laboratory testing products, new products in development and new indications for current laboratory testing products. As such, this individual will belong to the core of medical professionals that will design and execute medical scientific approaches to Myriad Genetic Laboratories’ products and services. The holder of the position provides scientific information on products and disease state expertise to targeted Opinion Leaders, Healthcare Professionals and Key Decision Makers consistent with the objectives of the Medical Services, Marketing, and Sales.
Duties:Continually monitor the medical environment to sustain expertise in disease state management and new therapies and analyze the clinical impact of existing and potential technologies relative to Myriad’s predictive and personalized medicine products. Identify and engage current and potential customers whose scientific expertise and business knowledge is important to the understanding of MGL predictive and personalized medicine products. Identify pre-clinical, clinical and post-marketing study investigators and selected national medical and scientific thought leaders in response to needs of clinical development, marketing and sales Develop peer-level relationships with pre-clinical, clinical and post-marketing study investigators and selected national medical and scientific thought leaders consistent with the strategy and objectives Medical Services. Manage customer inquiries to ensure relevant and appropriate information provided in response to their area of interest. Collaborate with Sales to assess key accounts and develop and implement account management strategies for marketed products. Assist in the development of, in coordination with Marketing and Sales, teaching materials for Medical Service and Marketing/Sales Personnel relating to new and existing genome based personalized medical testing Identify business and market opportunities that support Marketing goals. Provide clinical support and deliver data presentations for national or regional managed care accounts and organizations. Adhere to internal standard processes and comply with regulatory and compliance requirements. Provide scientific support for company for MGL at conferences and meetings.
Qualifications:Doctoral Degree in Medicine or equivalent Clinical training in oncology Demonstrated expertise or experience in Medical Education process Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills Thorough knowledge of FDA requirements Strong leadership ability Ability to travel Preferred: Experience in basic or clinical research
