| Description: | Myriad Genetic Laboratories, Inc. (MGL) is seeking a Ph.D. or M.D., Board Certified/Board Eligible, Molecular Geneticist to assist in the direction and management of our highly automated clinical DNA sequencing facility which is one of the largest clinical human DNA sequencing facility in the world. Title will be commensurate with experience.
Expectations will be as follows:
Have primary responsibility for quality and process improvements within the clinical laboratory
Enhance Molecular Genetics procedures to assure highest quality clinical test results with unparalleled accuracy
Interpret and report results of clinical genetic testing as primarily related to hereditary cancer risk
Participate in research collaborations
Provide strategic input into direction of the clinical laboratory
Provide technical assessments of potential new service opportunities

| Duties: | Job Duties:
The Associate or Assistant Director of Clinical Laboratories will be primarily responsible for maintaining/improving the technical quality of Myriad’s clinical sequencing platform, reviewing/reporting clinical cases and assisting in the classification of newly discovered mutations. Successful candidates must have superior molecular biology skills for application in a clinical and/or research setting and thorough understanding of procedures and protocols within DNA diagnostic clinical laboratories. Candidate must actively participate in continuing to develop robust processes within Quality Control Department, Sample Preparation Department, Robotics & Automation Staff, DNA Sequencing Facility, and Data Analysis staff. MGL currently employs over 100 technologists in these areas, and produces and analyzes millions of base pairs of clinical DNA sequence per day. The Associate or Assistant Director will also play an active role in implementation of new products and technical procedures into the laboratory.
