Description:The Market Research Analyst will execute primary and secondary market research activities and provide analytic support to product and marketing managers across Myriad’s diagnostic product lines. Activities may include assessments of market and competitive landscapes, market segmentation studies, opportunity assessments and market research on positioning, messaging and concept testing of marketing collateral.
Duties:Candidates for this position should possess a proven track record of success and the ability to excel in market research techniques, including but not limited to the following:

•Work with product managers (PMs) to identify opportunities for market research to support and inform critical business decisions
• Assist in the design of market research tools through demonstrated experience and familiarity with qualitative and quantitative market research techniques
• Assist in the design, execution and analysis of online surveys / results
• Project management, including agency / vendor management, timelines and project budget management
• Collect data and build models from various structured and unstructured data sources
• Exhibit understanding and familiarity with scientific resources; be able to extract key information from such sources (clinical trials, research studies, Decision Resources, etc)
• Develop a sound understanding of oncology and the key brand marketplaces
• Perform analysis and interpretation of secondary research data, including national level data, physician level data, patient level data, etc. to identify business opportunities
• Author and present both strategic and tactical recommendations to product managers, marketing managers and directors
• Support multiple product managers and work individually or in a team environment
• Contribute to the pricing decisions through analysis
• Demonstrate a detail orientation, analytical prowess and the ability to use statistical analysis programs such as SPSS or SAS
• Excellent communication skills with ability to effectively interface with people with a variety of backgrounds and technical expertise
Qualifications:Minimum Skills
• Bachelor’s Degree is required, concentration in business, economics or life sciences
• 3 – 5 Years experience in market research / market analysis in medical diagnostics field
